The Strand Yangon - Hotel Partner in Myanmar

It's like checking into a history book. More than hundred years ago the Strand Yangon has been described as "the finest hostelry East of Suez". The words were printed in 1911, written by John Murray in his 'Handbook for Travelers in India, Burma and Ceylon'.

The Strand Hotel opened in 1901 and just recently entered a new era, completing a six-month restoration that ushered it elegantly into the 21st century, preserving the building's heritage & honoring its part in Myanmar's history, while creating a more relaxed & glamorous setting for 21st century travelers & explorers.
